Skulking Deer

I looked out my window the other morning, and saw this little deer in the back yard. I took a couple of pictures. Later, in the afternoon, it was back. I got a great picture from my window when it got really close to the window. Also one where the babe is up on hind legs grabbing leaves. Look closely in the trees and you'll see mommy, too. The I got one of the mom as she moved around a bit. Cool!

For the second year in a row, I visited the Montgomery County (Maryland) Agricultural Fair in August, and once again had an experience this city dweller does not have often, that of a farm, which my late mother knew well as a child! I particularly enjoyed the chicken house, with all those various types of rooster crows, not just the "generic" one! I also brought home some great produce from both of my two visits!

Deer occasionally appear on our suburban roads, though I have never met one myself, even in a farm situation so far as I can recall. Yet I have eaten venizon a number of times.
