New Month! New Post! Old Face!

! My brother just joined the bloggosphere!

http://stretchedhobbit.blogspot.com/

Visit him and leave a note.

The kids are flying to San Diego this morning for an extended vacation. They plan to take his grandfather to Mexico City. How cool is that? We just celebrated Laurie's "29th" birthday! Lots going on I'll try to get it down here later. Right now it's 4:13 am and I have to get ready for work and that long drive to Forks.

More later!

So you are one of those unfortunate souls who must work on the weekend?

The farthest west I have been is to the Twin Cities, and thus I have never visited the Dakotas nor the West Coast. I know that your sister likes the latter very much.

Maybe I should pay your brother's new blog a visit.

We are having what seems to be an unusually-hot weekend here for this early in June, temperatures having reached nearly 100 over the past two days and predicted to do so yet again tomorrow, though I hear we could get back to the 80-0's by Wednesday. I personally would have preferred not to have had my air conditioners installed until around the actual start of Summer, but things are as they are.

Pleased that this seems to find you well,

Actually, J, I work 4 ten hour shifts tuesday through friday. Saturdays and Mondays (I will not work Sundays - church) are strictly overtime and voluntary. Yes, we're from Southern California so Suzanne and I get back when we can. She does it a lot more than I do. I've only been back twice I think. We're looking at Thanksgiving this year, though. Thanks for the feedback!

Since your post which started this thread was dated Saturday, 7 June, and since you said therein that you needed to prepare for work, I assumed that you work on weekends.

Though, as you now know, I will be unable to see the art to which you subsequently refer us, I now better understand your reference to art in the comment you kindly left in my blog.

Does your daughter post under her own name in her blog, thus enabling me to find it using Blogger Search, or under some other?

p.s. I think I will try hers first.
And further, I hope you get to return at Thanksgiving should you ultimately decide on that time (to San Diego it hopefully goes without saying).

Veddy interesting...thanks for visiting my blog, too!

I must have confused you J., I often work weekends because it's time-and-a-half but I don't have to. It is voluntary. Free money, eh? I've never seen my daughter's websites because she doesn't want her dad in her "room".

I obviously do not know how much driving you need to do, but it would not be a stretch to speculate that that overtime could help with these _FRIGHTFUL_ fuel costs! Hoping it does not sound smug or whatever one wishes to call it, at least that is _THANKFULLY_ not a worry I have! I have heard it said in recent days that some of the problem comes from speculating investors, and what can one do if that is the case since people have the right to invest if they wish?

And, going off on another tack, I only read a few posts when I first visited here late last year or thereabouts, but I came across the name Whiskey several times when I did. Am I correct in understanding that he is a horse?
